Jornada I D i en los planes de gestión de riesgo de inundación

Innovaugas will participate in the I D i Conference on flood risk management plans, in Madrid.

  • Augas de Galicia will present the Innovaugas challenge 2 as an example of digitalization in the capture and advanced processing of information for the management of extreme weather events such as floods and drought.
  • The intervention is part of the round table dedicated to research projects in flood risk management, to be held at the National School of Civil Protection in Madrid on March 29th.

 

Representatives of the public entity Augas de Galicia, under the Consellería de Infraestruturas e Mobilidade, will participate in the Conference I+D+i in flood risk management plans, organized by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, to be held on March 29 in Madrid, to present Challenge 2 of the public procurement of innovation project Innovaugas 4.0, which is specifically oriented to the advanced management of drought and flood events.

Augas de Galicia will present to an audience of technicians and specialists the technological solution proposed by the joint venture formed by Viaqua, Gestión Integral de Augas de Galicia, and the Fundación Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia, which includes the installation of level and humidity sensors, multiparametric probes and cameras for real-time data collection. These data are processed in an advanced management system of new design and not existing in the purchased that feeds the artificial intelligence algorithm that will allow Augas de Galicia technicians to increase the prediction time for these events, improve efficiency in response and decision making in real time, among other advantages that will be explained at the conference.

 

INNOVAUGAS 4.0

Innovaugas 4.0 is a project promoted by the Entidad Pública Empresarial Augas de Galicia, under the Department of Infrastructure and Mobility of the Xunta de Galicia, which seeks to achieve new solutions for advanced integrated water management, optimize water resources and provide a long-term response to the demands of the different uses of water, in balance with the natural environment and river ecosystems, respecting the achievement of environmental objectives established for water bodies and addressing the new scenarios determined by climate change.

The Innovaugas 4.0 project has an elixible budget of 7 million euros and is 80% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Plurirexional Operational Program of Spain (POPE) 2014-2020.

Innovaugas 4.0 was selected by the Ministry of Science and Innovation in 2020 in the Line of Promotion of Innovation from the Demand and Innovative Public Procurement, has an aid of European funds of 4,200,000 euros, will also be co-financed by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) with 700,000 euros and Augas de Galicia will approach 2,100,000 euros.
